About our Founder Lisa Shapiro

Lisa Shapiro has been licensed since 1980. In the 30 years she has been in practice she's worked on professional dancers, competitive athletes and body builders. In fact, she's worked on everyone from corporate heads and over-stressed professionals to day laborers and office workers.

She is experienced in many modalities such as Medical, Sports and pregnancy massages and is certified in Swedish, Shiatsu, Reflexology, and Deep Tissue. She has taken courses at Sloan-Kettering Hospital on massage for the Cancer patient and with the

Vodder School for the treatment of lymph edema.

Over the span of 3 decades Lisa has worked at The New York Health & Racquet Club,Gurneys Inn of Montauk and in 1980-81' she traveled with and worked on the cast and crew of Bob Fosse's "Dancin'."

Throughout her career, Lisa has treated many different conditions. Some of the many problems she encountered are: TMJ, migraines, Siatica, back & neck pain,Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, nerve impingement, Cancer, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, stroke rehabilitation, Sclera Derma, and Lyme disease, just to name a few. test
